Research: My research interest is in machine learning and computer vision. I have worked on deep networks, transfer learning/domain adaptation, and dictionary learning/sparse coding, with applications self-driving car, medical diagnosis, and neural semantic decoding. Current research in my group explores new paradigms of machine learning that are more interpretable and generalizable than the existing data-driven approaches.
